jiwoong first debuted in 2016 with inx under na entertainment. he was the group's lead dancer and rapper. they released two single albums alright and 2gether. jiwoong choreographed the choreo for their single "alright". the group promoted in korea as well as japan and taiwan.

however, they received a lot of criticism for their looks and didn't do well. they disbanded just a year into their career after their company failed to protect them from malicious comments and sexual harassment at events, and they failed to provide them with staff and basic necessities such as transport, a practice room, electricity, food and money. they also suffered from verbal abuse and threats from staff and the ceo. the group finally filed a lawsuit against the company begin 2017 and they officially disbanded as of november 2017.

in 2018 inx won the lawsuit against na entertainment and they were finally free. jiwoong joined a new group called ateen, a 10-member group under ds&a entertainment. they promoted in japan and unofficially released two songs just having fun and λ μ’ λ¬λ¬.

but what was supposed to be a fresh new start for jiwoong turned out to be an even worse nightmare. they promoted under terrible conditions and with no support from their agency, and to add to it the members were sexually harassed by two female company representatives (reportedly the female ceo and her younger sister who is also an investor in the company, however this is not confirmed) end 2018 they filed a lawsuit against ds&a and now, roughly 4 years later, the trial is still going on and they're still fighting for their justice. you can help them by spreading the word with the hashtag #JusticeForAteen.you can read the members' statements about the case here but just a warning that they can be triggering and very emotional.

four ateen members including jiwoong formed a new group called b.i.t (brilliant icon team) under core contents. they promoted in japan for roughly a year. unfortunately they disbanded due some management issues and the burden of the lawsuit against ateen's old company.after their disbandment jiwoong stepped out of the spotlight for a while and took on a part time job at a restaurant.

second half of 2020 jiwoong joined ttja and dsp's survival show burn up: billboard challenge (there's no way to watch the whole show back sadly) and won first place. he was supposed to make his debut in the first half of 2021 but that didn't happen. however he did release a song called sick of love together with fellow burn up winner kim minjeong.march 2021 he landed his first main role and made his official acting debut in the webdrama the sweet blood, where he plays the role of the vampire yoon chiwoomay he launched his official platform panic rose where he displays and sells his art and communicates with fans.june he starred in shin yongjae's mv for so what, if the flowers are pretty
